Manchin Addresses Prescription Drug Abuse, Student Loans and Energy Needs in Latest Installment of ‘Manchin’s Mailbox’

Manchin releases fourth episode of online forum to answer West Virginians’ questions and concerns

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) released his fourth episode of “Manchin’s Mailbox” today to answer questions from West Virginians about his positions on critical issues, including fighting the war on prescription drug abuse, keeping student loan interest rates low and keeping good energy jobs in the state. The 6-minute question-and-answer session can be found here.

“I truly value the concept of ‘retail government,’ so I can personally reach out to the people of West Virginia to respond to their ideas, concerns and priorities on the important issues that our nation faces today,” Senator Manchin said. “I receive hundreds letters from West Virginians every week, and this is a great opportunity to keep the lines of communication open while I’m in our nation’s Capitol. I encourage all West Virginians to continue to send me letters, questions and ideas, and I’ll keep answering them.”

Previous episodes of “Manchin’s Mailbox” are available on Senator Manchin’s web site, manchin.senate.gov.
