Today’s Better Angels are the team at Berkeley Senior Services. During this pandemic, the team has altered their services to ensure seniors in the community remain healthy and safe. Meals are being delivered, the Caregiver Support Group has continued over the phone, and staff members are grocery shopping, picking up medication, and continuing to safely provide transportation for necessary medical appointments. Each and every senior who normally attends programs or activities at the Senior Center are receiving regular phone calls to ensure they have what they need.

In Executive Director Amy Orndoff’s own words: “In the midst of this pandemic, it has forced many agencies to “think outside of the box” at how their business operates. The staff at Berkeley Senior Services truly continues to amaze me with their persistence, innovation, and willingness to do whatever it takes to be sure that the seniors and caregivers throughout the county are cared for! Because of these reasons, the staff at Berkeley Senior Services are my Heroes!”
