The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Complex, Hazelton, West Virginia, is seeking full-time Correctional Officers to protect public safety, ensure the security of federal prisons and provide inmates with reentry programming. Starting salary between $41,187 and $54,586; full promotion potential $59,287. Interested applicants, must bring a resume and valid government ID. Military veterans should also bring a DD-214 (Member 4 recommended).
Per 5 U.S.C. 3307, initial appointment to a federal law enforcement position must occur before a candidate's 37th birthday. U.S. citizenship is required. Candidates are subject to a drug urinalysis, physical examination, and background investigation. Initial appointment to a position with the Bureau is subject to successful completion of Introduction to Correctional Techniques in Glynco, GA.
