Responsibilities:

  • Installation of glass, mirror, plastics and storefront products
  • Cut and prepare glass, mirrors and materials to specs
  • Knowledge of commercial door hardware and how to repair
  • Cutting and processing glass

Requirements:

  • Minimum experience of three years in the glass industry
  • Knowledge of industry standards in regard to handling of glass from smaller pieces to large sheet sizes
  • Knowledge of industry standards in regard to setting of glass
  • Knowledge of commercial door repair
  • Knowledge of methods of securing glass products, such as by using mastic, silicone, putty, bolts, nails and screws
  • Knowledge of measuring for and installation of shower enclosures
  • Experience with safely and professionally removing broken glass
  • Experience with grinding, polishing and smoothing edges of glass, mirror and plastics
  • Ability to cut and assemble products for residential, commercial and industrial projects
  • Must be motivated and a team player
  • Occasional overnight and/or weekly travel as required
