Responsibilities:
- Cuts and installs pipe, tubing or conduit, using hacksaw, pipe cutter for the installation of air or process lines for instrument controls.
- Will read blue prints, loop sheets and P&IDs to interpret the work to be completed, the required equipment, and required tools to perform assigned work..
- Will work with piping systems to install instrumentation in order for the system to work properly, be controlled, and/or monitored.
- Installs instruments, instrument stands and control wiring to valves and strokes valves to verify operation.
- Installs and activates DCS systems
- Installs process control loops and calibrates to design criterion set for each process unit.
- Has a thorough knowledge of pneumatics, electronics and electricity.
- Knowledge in bending out of rack tubing in ½” and 3/8” and various other sizes and.
- Carry out work in accordance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- 4 years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical.
- Ability to follow electrical code manuals to install and repair electrical systems
- Understand schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications required by our clients.
- Ability to effectively verbally communicate directions from craft supervisors, and respond to questions from managers and fellow workers.
