Maintenance Supervisor,Lignetics of West Virginia-Sand Fork
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the maintenance operations concerned with the installation and repair of all machinery and other mechanical and electrical equipment used in the production operation.
- Maintain a preventative maintenance program to ensure safe working conditions, minimal production downtime, and equipment sustainability.
- Maintain inventories and order parts, as needed, for equipment.
- Consult, obtain bids, and work closely with outside contractors.
- Supervise and train Millwrights and LME apprentice to troubleshoot all equipment on plant site.
- Manage and participate in the rebuild or repair of pellet mills, conveyors, screws, gearboxes, chains using hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric troubleshooting skills.
- Prioritize and delegate maintenance schedules and activities, track production down time, schedule maintenance days and weekend projects.
- Maintain the Fire System.
- Coordinate personnel schedules to accommodate call-ins and 24/7 repair and maintenance coverage.
- Act as Safety Committee representative with a commitment to safety excellence.
- Provide regular reports to Plant Manager regarding safety and maintenance concerns and projects.
- Participate in employee performance management, hiring, disciplinary and termination meetings.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) card required.
- Journeyman Millwright card preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in journeyman level millwright experience in Industrial Plant Maintenance.
- PLC knowledge a plus.
- Basic understanding of electrical concepts.
- Project planning/implementation/oversite.
- Experience developing/implementation/managing PM programs
- Project management and supervisory experience preferred.
- Must have ability to read blue prints and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Requires experience using all forms of power and hand tools, welding, forklift and heavy equipment operation.
- Must be in good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, stand and work for long periods of time, climb ladders, work at high elevations, and in small confined spaces.
- Must have computer experience and be proficient with Microsoft Office.
