Production Control Supervisor,Mondi-Wellsburg

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee continuous improvement programs and processes
  • Supervise employees in the day-to-day operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity
  • Maintain and improve production throughout and work with Plant Manager to maintain direct labor cost
  • Ensure compliance with established run speeds and verify that it is clearly listed on order and check hourly
  • Ensure compliance with established set up time and verify that is clearly listed on order
  • Address mechanical, operational, and technical downtime issues with department
  • Provide support for on the job assignments and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Clearly communicate expectations to employees on shift
  • Review and initial Quality Check list every hour
  • Maintain all required logs and reporting documents and adhere to all safety regulations, procedures and policies (including Safety Scorecard etc.)
  • Shift supervisor is responsible to do reclaim that is generated on their shift
  • Advise Plant Manager and Services Manager/Scheduler of any issues with machines or any concerns regarding the inability to meet the scheduled production requirements
  • Learn the company’s SAP system (ISCA) and be the point of contact for addressing issues with the system and for training others on the system
  • Train, motivate, and mentor employees (both new and existing employees)
  • Conduct weekly performance evaluations for all new hires
  • Enforce Company policies, quality procedures, and Good Manufacturing Polices (GMPs) by ensuring employees understand and follow rules, addresses non-compliance on the shift it occurs, and documents issues for further action
  • Understands and enforces Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Maintain a positive working environment among employees
  • Monitors Report offs and fills vacancy according to contract guidelines
  • Reviews, updates, and approves shifts’ timesheets daily
  • Participate in daily production meetings and monthly plant-wide meetings
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Must be able to use the following computer programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, ADP
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail orientation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-confident with the ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management in a positive manner
  • Must be able to work any shift, including weekends, if needed
  • Three to Five years’ experience in manufacturing (floor supervision and/or maintenance) preferred
  • Previous experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean/Six Sigma or other relevant continuous improvement methods preferred
  • Technical training preferred
  • Industry Safety Training preferred
  • Microsoft Office suite experience required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Or a combination of education, training, and applicable work experience will be considered
