Staff Development Coordinator,Worthington Healthcare Center-Parkersburg
Responsibilities:
- Participate in and provide scheduled training, educational classes, and orientation programs to maintain own licensure and certification of team members.
- Develop manuals, teaching aides, and conduct in-service education for nursing and all other staff members for both current and new hire employees.
- Ensure that state mandated training hours are available to all CNA's.
- Create annual in-service schedule
- Consult with center staff to identify training needs.
- Develop and maintain resource library.
- Ensure that all nursing staff follow established departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Must have previous experience training nurses and/or nursing assistants.
- Experience in long term care highly desired.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing & medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
- Must possess a current license as an RN.
- Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
- Prior supervisory experience and management training required.
- Must maintain CPR certification
