Staff Development Coordinator,Worthington Healthcare Center-Parkersburg

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in and provide scheduled training, educational classes, and orientation programs to maintain own licensure and certification of team members.
  • Develop manuals, teaching aides, and conduct in-service education for nursing and all other staff members for both current and new hire employees.
  • Ensure that state mandated training hours are available to all CNA's.
  • Create annual in-service schedule
  • Consult with center staff to identify training needs.
  • Develop and maintain resource library.
  • Ensure that all nursing staff follow established departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must have previous experience training nurses and/or nursing assistants.
  • Experience in long term care highly desired.
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing & medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
  • Must possess a current license as an RN.
  • Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Prior supervisory experience and management training required.
  • Must maintain CPR certification
