Intuit To Open 'Prosperity Hub' In Bluefield; Up To 500 New Jobs Possible | WV MetroNews

BLUEFIELD, W.Va. — State native Intuit Executive Board Chairman Brad Smith announced Friday the company will open a “prosperity hub” in downtown Bluefield with plans to create between 200 and 500 jobs.

According to Smith, the prosperity hub will include a customer success center for the Intuit product QuickBooks and an innovation lab to help small businesses.

The hub will be located on Federal Street in Bluefield, the former First National Bank building.

Intuit officials made the announcement in Bluefield Friday morning.

U.S. Senator Joe Manchin praised Smith for bringing high-tech jobs to his home state in a Twitter message.

“Today’s announcement that @Intuit will create 200 to 500 jobs in Bluefield is an incredible opportunity for Intuit and for southern #WV. Thank you @IntuitBrad for making this great investment in your home state!,” Manchin said.

Smith, a Wayne County native and Marshall University graduate, was Intuit’s chairman and chief executive officer from 2008 to 2018. He’s now the chairman of the company’s executive board.
