Sen. Manchin: Funding secured for Baker's Run Campground | WDTV

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WDTV) -- Senator Joe Manchin says the Senate Committee on Appropriations has secured funding for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Huntington District's campgrounds, including Baker's Run Campground in Braxton County.

The future of the campground had seemed uncertain, as the district faced funding cuts based on the Fiscal Year 2019 Budget proposal. However, Manchin's office stated that these estimates were not based on funds authorized by Congress.

The Army Corps of Engineers Huntington District manages several recreation areas in the state, which include Baker's Run and R.D. Bailey Lake.
