Manchin Statement on Fourth of July

Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) today released the following statement to mark the July Fourth holiday.  

“This weekend, we will come together with our families, our friends and our communities to celebrate the birth of our great nation. Even with all our challenges and troubles, the United States of America is still the hope of the world, and it is up to us to keep our torch of freedom burning bright for the next generation,” Senator Manchin said. 

“I hope you and your family celebrate this July Fourth together, and take pride in being citizens of the greatest country the world has ever known. I am proud to serve the people of the great state of West Virginia and proud to be an American, today and every day. Happy Fourth of July. God bless you, God bless the great state of West Virginia and God bless America.”
