Around One Thousand Guests Attend “Taste of West Virginia”
Rockefeller, Manchin, Rahall, Capito and McKinley thank all local businesses and companies from regions across West Virginia for attending event
Washington, D.C. – Yesterday evening, West Virginia’s congressional delegation proudly showcased West Virginia businesses, universities, organizations and musical talent at the “Taste of West Virginia.” Approximately 1,000 guests attended the event, which is unprecedented for this type of gathering in Congress. West Virginians from all regions of the state, Members of Congress, and guests from across the country traveled to Washington, D.C. to taste the state’s delicious food, learn more about local businesses and meet many of the great people of West Virginia.
On behalf of West Virginia, the delegation also accepted an award from CQ Roll Call that recognizes the state’s famous pepperoni rolls as America’s favorite state food.
Senators Rockefeller and Manchin joined Representatives Rahall, Capito and McKinley in thanking the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce for sponsoring the event and highlighting some of the state’s rich culture and strong traditions.
