Introducing ‘Manchin’s Mailbox’

Manchin debuts new online forum to answer constituents’ questions and concerns

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) today launched “Manchin’s Mailbox,” a new way to answer West Virginians’ most pressing questions and concerns. “Manchin’s Mailbox” will be a regular feature of the Senator’s new website, manchin.senate.gov.

“This new feature is a great way for you and I to keep in touch, no matter where you are and no matter where I am,” Senator Manchin said. “I want to know what is on your mind, what you are worried about, and what you think about the most important issues facing this country. I have always said that West Virginians have more common sense than most people I meet anywhere, and your thoughts and ideas help me do my job better. I want you to have the answers you need and deserve, and to hear straight from me where I stand on the issues. So please, send me your letters, your questions and your concerns, we’ll keep answering them.”

In his first edition of “Manchin’s Mailbox,” Senator Manchin spoke to West Virginians’ concerns about trade deals and their effect on jobs, our ongoing engagement in Afghanistan and Iraq, and our financial crisis.
