Manchin and Capito Announce Funding for Mingo County Community Health Center
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) announced that the Williamson Health and Wellness Center in Mingo County will receive $343,887 in federal funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The funding, awarded through the Health Center Cluster Grant Program, will support health care operations and expand access to care.
“All West Virginians deserve access to primary and preventive care that will keep them healthy,” Senator Manchin said. “This funding will enable the Williamson Health and Wellness Center to continue providing quality and affordable health services, especially to our children, veterans and seniors, while also expanding access health services.”
“The Williamson Health and Wellness Center is working hard to provide access to high quality health care for the people of southern West Virginia. This funding will allow the facility to continue to coordinate with its local partners to promote better health and opportunity in the community,” said Senator Capito.
