Manchin Announces 1.3 Million For Raleigh County Early Head Start Program
Charleston, WV – Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (I-WV), member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced $1,327,481 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for the Raleigh County Community Action Association’s Early Head Start program. Early Head Start supports educational growth from birth to age 5 through services that provide early learning and emotional development, health and safety, and family well-being.
“I’m pleased HHS is investing more than $1.3 million into Raleigh County’s Community Action Association’s Early Head Start program,” said Senator Manchin. “No matter their background, every child in West Virginia deserves access to quality education. As a long-time supporter of Early Head Start programs and a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I will continue advocating for funding that supports educational opportunities for all children across the Mountain State.”
