Manchin Announces $1.4 Million To Repair Damaged Roads In Wetzel County
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $1,422,591 for West Virginia through the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) public assistance grant program. Funding will assist the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) with repairs to roadways in Wetzel County that was damaged as a result of storms in April 2018.
“I am grateful that the WV Division of Highways has received this funding.” Senator Manchin said. “In recent years, our state has endured multiple weather-related disasters that continue to impact our roadways across West Virginia. The funding provided by FEMA to WVDOH will help repair and clear roadways that have been damaged by severe storms, flooding, mudslides, and landslides for safer travel. As a member of the Appropriations committee, I will continue to fight for the funding that West Virginia needs.”
