Manchin Announces $30.5 Million to Support Low Carbon Transportation Projects Across West Virginia

Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (I-WV), member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced $30,585,808 from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to upgrade and improve West Virginia transportation infrastructure using low carbon materials. The funding is made possible through DOT’s Low Carbon Transportation Materials Program.

“I’m pleased that DOT is investing more than $30.5 million to modernize our state’s transportation systems,” said Senator Manchin. “This historic investment in West Virginia’s infrastructure will upgrade our roads and highways while reducing carbon emissions. I look forward to seeing the positive impacts of these projects for decades to come and, as a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I will continue advocating for resources to strengthen our transportation infrastructure across the Mountain State.”
