Manchin Announces $350,000 for Huntington Revitalization Plan
Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) announced that the city of Huntington, West Virginia was awarded a Choice Neighborhood Planning Grant for $350,000 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
“Investments that improve our neighborhoods and revitalize our communities are important to cities like Huntington,” Senator Manchin said. “This HUD funding will help Huntington establish a plan to improve neighborhood housing, focus on community projects and effectively boost the economy.”
The grant will focus on directing resources to address three goals of housing, people, and neighborhoods. The community must implement a Transformation Plan which will be the guiding document for the revitalization of the neighborhood and public/assisted housing units.
