Manchin Announces Departure of Long-Time Aide

Manchin thanks Travis Mollohan for his unwavering commitment to the people of West Virginia

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) today announced that his long-time aide, Travis Mollohan, is leaving his office to work for West Virginia University. Mollohan’s final day will be July 18.

“It is very difficult to imagine my office without Travis, but I know that he will bring the same level of excitement, energy and dedication to his new position as he brought to my office over these many years. When I chose him to serve on my team, I knew that Travis understood what it means to be a West Virginian. He is a responsive, critical thinker who truly cares about our state and fellow citizens – all characteristics that will serve him well in his next endeavor. Travis will always be part of the Manchin family, and I wish him only the best.”

Mollohan thanked the Senator for the opportunity to serve the people of West Virginia.

“Senator Manchin has given me so many great opportunities over these past nine years, and I thank him for his continued confidence. He is a strong advocate for the people of the Mountain State, and I am honored to have been involved in the progress our state has made under his leadership. While I will miss working for him, I am eager to serve my incredible alma mater, West Virginia University, and start this exciting, new chapter in my life.”
