Manchin Announces Job and Resource Fairs Throughout West Virginia

Senator Manchin will hold a job and resource fair in every region of the state to help get West Virginians back to work

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) today announced that he will cohost job and resource fairs throughout the state. Senator Manchin is partnering with Volunteer West Virginia, Wheeling Jesuit University, High Technology Foundation, WorkForce West Virginia, Logan, Marion, Morgantown and Harrison Chambers of Commerce, American Public University, Pierpont Community and Technical College, Fairmont State University, and West Virginia University, the Upper Big Branch Miners Memorial Group, and many other federal, state, and community partners to help West Virginians get back to work.

“As a former small businessman myself, I understand firsthand how hard the people of the Mountain State work,” Senator Manchin said. “Given the opportunity, West Virginians thrive at work, be it as the owner of a grocery store, the miner working to harvest our vast natural resources, or the nurse saving lives each and every day or the teacher who is inspiring our next generation of leaders in the classroom. We are in this together, and that is why ensuring that everyone in our state has a job remains my top priority in Washington.

“This issue is not a Democratic or Republican issue. This is a West Virginia issue. I will be working with everyone who wants to help get West Virginians back to work. I will work with business and labor, the tech and energy sectors, corporations and non-profits, government and religious organizations and anyone else that wants to Build West Virginia. No idea is too small when it comes to putting people back to work and I look forward to hearing from those who are as committed to our state as I am.”

Senator Manchin plans to hold job and resource fairs in Fairmont, Logan, Charles Town, Charleston and the northern and eastern panhandles.
