Manchin Announces More Than $48k To Support Quality Housing For West Virginians
Charleston, WV – Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (I-WV), member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced $48,182 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to help provide safe, quality housing across West Virginia.
“Every West Virginian deserves a roof over their head and a warm, safe place to sleep at night,” said Senator Manchin. “This more than $48K investment will help ensure hardworking West Virginians have a quality place to call home. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I will continue advocating for resources to support a secure living environment for every West Virginian across the Mountain State."
The HUD Comprehensive Housing Counseling (CHC) program invests in housing agencies that provide counseling and advice to tenants and homeowners with respect to property maintenance, financial management and literacy and other relevant areas to help improve their housing conditions.

- $16,866 – Housing Authority of Mingo County, Delbarton
- $16,529 – Southern Appalachian Labor School, Kincaid
- $14,787 – Religious Coalition for Community Renewal, Charleston
