Manchin Calls for Bipartisan Solution on Net Neutrality

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) today released the following statement on his cosponsorship of legislation to overturn the Federal Communication Commission’s (FCC) repeal of the net neutrality rule.

“I have heard from thousands of West Virginians who want an internet that is free of content-based discrimination and support increased reliable, affordable internet access throughout our state. I strongly oppose the FCC’s decision to repeal basic net neutrality protections, and I hope this resolution will encourage my colleagues on both sides of the aisle and in both legislative bodies to negotiate a responsible, balanced bipartisan solution that codifies strong net neutrality protections and finally resolves this debate.”
