Manchin, Capito Announce $12.2 Million for West Virginia Head Start Programs

Charleston, WV – U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), members of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $12,253,082 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for Head Start and Early Head Start programs across West Virginia.

 

“Every child in the West Virginia deserves access to a quality education, regardless of their background. Our Head Start programs provide children with the foundation and skills they need for a bright future,” Senator Manchin said. “As a long-time supporter of Head Start programs, I am thrilled HHS is investing in three programs across the Mountain State. I will continue to advocate for funding and resources to ensure every West Virginia child has the educational opportunities they deserve.”
