Manchin, Capito Announce $1.3 Million for Maternal and Child Health Services

Charleston, WV – U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), members of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $1,306,263 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) to support maternal and child health services across West Virginia.

“West Virginia mothers and families rely on affordable, quality healthcare to raise healthy children. This HHS funding is great news for our state, especially as we continue to battle the COVID-19 pandemic, and will invest over $1.3 million to support maternal and child health services across West Virginia. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I will continue to advocate for funding to support mothers, families and children in the Mountain State,” Senator Manchin said.
