Manchin, Capito Announce $1.6 Million For Camden-On-Gauley Medical Center
Washington, DC –
U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), both members
of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $1,601,829 from
the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for the Camden-on-Gauley
Medical Center, Inc. This funding was made available through the department’s
Health Center Cluster grant program.
“West Virginia’s health centers are the backbone of our
healthcare system and have provided quality care for West Virginians throughout
the COVID-19 pandemic. I am pleased HHS is investing in the Camden-on-Gauley
Medical Center to help provide quality, affordable healthcare in Webster
County. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I will continue
advocating for funding to support health centers across the Mountain State,”
Senator Manchin said.
