Manchin, Capito Announce $446K For Biology Research Projects At West Virginia University

Charleston, WV – U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), members of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced $446,954 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for two critical research projects at West Virginia University.
 
“West Virginia University continues to lead the nation in many research fields. I am pleased HHS is investing in West Virginia University for two research projects that will further our understanding of biology and possible benefits for West Virginians and Americans,” said Senator Manchin. “I look forward to seeing the results of this important research and I will continue to advocate for funding to support research projects in the Mountain State.”
 
“I’m pleased to see HHS continuing investments into research initiatives conducted in the Mountain State,” Senator Capito said. “Funding like this creates opportunities for our professors and students, which will help lead to progress within our communities.
