Manchin, Capito Announce more than $2.4 Million in FEMA Funding for Flood Recovery Efforts

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) today announced a total of $2,460,761 from U.S Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the State of West Virginia.

Individual awards listed below:

  • $1,046,559.61 – The West Virginia School Building Authority to replace Richwood Middle & High Schools and Summerville Middle School in Nicholas County that were damaged as a result of flooding in West Virginia on June 23.
  • $1,414,202.29 – The West Virginia Division of Highways to repair 10 sites along Panther Creek Rd. that were damaged as a result of flooding in West Virginia on June 23.
