Manchin Cosponsors Pro Act

Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) announced he will be cosponsoring the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act of 2021.

“After discussions with West Virginia labor organizations, who represent thousands of West Virginia workers, I am proud to announce my co-sponsorship of the PRO Act. Nearly half of new unions fail to reach a contract within their first year because their employers won’t even come to the table. That is plain wrong. I support the commonsense reforms in the PRO Act that will level the playing field and protect workers’ rights. I will continue working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to strengthen this bill and move it through the legislative process.”
