MANCHIN LAUNCHES #ThisIsWV SERIES AND ENCOURAGES WEST VIRGINIANS TO SHARE STATE PRIDE
Charleston, WV – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) today launched a “This is West Virginia” series to highlight the best of the state, its people and communities. Senator Manchin is encouraging West Virginians to engage in the series by sharing what makes them proud of the Mountain State by posting photos, events, individual stories and commentaries using the hashtag #ThisIsWV.
“When people who aren’t from West Virginia ask about our state, we jump at the chance to tell them who we are,” Senator Manchin said. “As West Virginians, we know how special our home is. And we know it’s our job to tell the world, ‘No, that’s not West Virginia. This is West Virginia. We are proud and patriotic. We are hard-working and compassionate. We have awe-inspiring sights and the best people you’ll ever meet. That’s who we are, and we hope you’ll come visit.’”
