Manchin Leads Resolution Recognizing National Nurses Week, Thanks Nurses For Their Services
Washington, DC – Today on International Nurses Day, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) led his colleagues in the Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives in introducing a bipartisan, bicameral resolution marking May 6-12, 2021 as National Nurses Week to recognize the invaluable contributions made by nurses across West Virginia and America, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Nurses have been on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, going above and beyond the call of duty to take care of their fellow West Virginians,” said Senator Manchin. “Today, on International Nurses Day, I am proud to introduce a bipartisan, bicameral resolution marking National Nurses Week to honor and thank nurses for the essential services they provide for West Virginians and Americans. We are incredibly thankful for our nurses’ tireless service and dedication to their patients, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
