Manchin Speaks At Groundbreaking Ceremony For New Shawnee Sports Complex Welcome Center
Charleston, WV – Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (I-WV) spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Shawnee Sports Complex Welcome Center in Dunbar, West Virginia.
“Since its opening in 2018, the Shawnee Sports Complex has continued to grow and attract more and more patrons, sports events, and community activities,” Senator Manchin said in part. “I’m so proud to have secured $3 million in Congressionally Directed Spending to support the construction of this new welcome center that will be able to keep up with the traffic and visitors’ needs. This center will be invaluable in continuing the growth and success of the complex, and I can’t wait to see how it benefits the Kanawha County community and all of West Virginia.”
