Manchin Statement On Death Of Hall Of Fame Broadcaster Jack Kane
Charleston, WV – Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (I-WV) released the following statement on the passing of West Virginia’s legendary news anchor, Jack Kane.
“Gayle and I are devastated by the passing of our dear friend and broadcasting legend, Jack Kane. Jack was an institution in West Virginia journalism. With over 20 years of reporting across the Mountain State, Jack’s work was always insightful, creative and informative. It was no surprise when he was inducted into the West Virginia Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2013. He was such a bright light for our state and inspired so many young journalists to follow in his footsteps. Gayle and I send our deepest condolences to Jack’s wife, Sherrie, and all of his loved ones as they mourn this incredible loss.”
