Manchin Statement on Passing of Judge Blane Michael

Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) today released the following statement after learning of the passing of Judge Blane Michael, who was a dear friend.

“For the service he has given, the passing of the honorable Judge Blane Michael is a loss to the state of West Virginia and to the entire United States.

“He was a dear friend to me and my family for many, many years. He was someone who always had a smile on his face, and he put one on yours, too.

“On behalf of myself and the Manchin family, our prayers and heartfelt condolences go out to Blane’s wife, Mary Anne, and the rest of his family.”
