Manchin Statement on the Indictment of Don Blankenship

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) today issued the following statement after a federal grand jury indicted former Massey Energy chief executive, Don Blankenship with criminal charges related to the Upper Big Branch Mine disaster:

“I’ve always had complete faith that justice would be served and Don Blankenship’s indictment today is a first step in providing some peace to the families of the Upper Big Branch miners who lost their lives.”
