Manchin Statement on Tragic Shooting in Charleston, S.C.

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) released the following statement on the tragic shooting in Charleston, South Carolina.

“Today, Gayle and I join all West Virginians and Americans in sending our thoughts and prayers to the people of Charleston, South Carolina as they mourn this absolutely horrific tragedy. Our hearts weigh heavy for the loved ones of the nine souls who were lost and for the entire Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church community. We pray they find the strength and support needed to get through these difficult times.”
