Manchin Submits Congressional Inquiry On Kanawha County HIV Rates
Charleston, WV – Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) submitted a Congressional inquiry on behalf of the Kanawha County Commission regarding the HIV rates in Kanawha County.
The Senator said in part, “Please see the attached correspondence from the Kanawha County Commission regarding their concerns about alarming HIV statistics. As requested by the Kanawha County Commission, I am submitting a formal congressional inquiry for your prompt response. Given the pressing public health nature of the issue, I request that your staff review the enclosed concerns and contact the Kanawha County Commission no later than Friday, April 9th.”
