Manchin Votes To Confirm EPA Administrator Regan
Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), voted to confirm Michael Regan as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator.
“Today I voted to confirm Michael Regan as EPA Administrator. Mr. Regan has proven his willingness to work across the aisle to implement commonsense policies that help states like West Virginia that have been impacted by changing energy markets. Mr. Regan has also fought to address the impacts of PFAS contamination, an issue many West Virginians know all too well. Mr. Regan also reaffirmed his dedication to working in a bipartisan way to address the needs of our nation. During our conversation earlier this year, Mr. Regan expressed his interest in visiting the Mountain State and confirmed his commitment to maintaining American energy independence. For these reasons I supported Mr. Regan’s confirmation and I look forward to working with him to ensure environmental policy changes don’t leave states like West Virginia behind.”
