Manchin Votes To Confirm SBA Administrator Guzman
Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), voted to confirm Isabel Guzman as Administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA).
“Today I voted to confirm Isabel Guzman as SBA Administrator. The SBA oversees many programs that help West Virginia businesses like the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) and new programs included in the American Rescue Plan to support our restaurants and shuttered venues. As the daughter of a small business owner, Director Guzman has extensive experience as a small business advocate and ally, having spent considerable time at SBA as well as leading California’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. I believe Director Guzman will be a strong SBA Administrator who will advocate for small businesses, and I look forward to working with her to ensure West Virginia small businesses receive the support they need to recover from the pandemic and thrive across the Mountain State.”
