Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) urged West Virginians without health insurance to apply for coverage during the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Open Enrollment Period, which ends on January 15th, 2022. January 15th is the last day to enroll in or changes plans for coverage in 2022.

“West Virginians have one month left to apply for quality, affordable health insurance coverage through the Affordable Care Act Open Enrollment Period. Earlier this year, I voted for the American Rescue Plan, which included funding to make healthcare more affordable by increasing premium tax credits. These tax credits continue to help lower premiums and support cheaper health plans for West Virginians who are signing up for Affordable Care Act coverage during the Open Enrollment Period. I encourage every West Virginian without health insurance to visit healthcare.gov to find a plan that works for you and your family before the January 15th deadline,” said Senator Manchin.

The American Rescue Plan continues to provide additional financial assistance to West Virginians by lowering healthcare coverage premiums and expanding coverage options. This additional financial assistance allows 80% of Americans to find a plan for $10 or less per month.
