Manchin Wishes West Virginians A Merry Christmas And Happy Holidays

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) released the following statement wishing West Virginians a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

“Gayle and I and the entire Manchin family would like to wish all West Virginians and Americans a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. During the Christmas season, Gayle and I are reminded once again of the importance of family - the source of life’s greatest joys and its deepest bonds. Our families are the foundation of our country as well as the inspirational force in each of our lives.

“We are so blessed with the riches of loving families and friends, a beautiful state to call home, and the knowledge that we are truly a statewide community with an unbreakable bond. Not only is this good for the soul, but it makes West Virginia the best place to work, live, and raise a family.

“This is also a time to remember the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country. Their sacrifices allow us to enjoy these blessings this holiday season. Let us keep them and their families in our hearts and prayers, not just during the holidays, but every single day.

“Throughout the year, we are tested as a national community. This Christmas let us pray for peace, safety, and a greater understanding of one another. My parents taught me that if you can count your blessings, you can share your blessings. We are all so blessed to enjoy their opportunities of this great nation. That is why, during this holiday season, I encourage every West Virginian to share their blessings and generosity with those who may need a helping hand. May you spend this year’s waning days visiting loved ones, renewing old ties, forging new relationships, and sharing a hope among us all for a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year.”
