Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis will also deliver remarks
Washington, D.C. – With momentum growing for the new Senate Veterans Jobs Caucus, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and a bipartisan group of Senators will hold a press conference tomorrow to involve the public in the caucus’s growing “I Hire Veterans” movement.
Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis will speak at the event to express her support for the caucus’s efforts to put our returning servicemembers back to work. Officials from the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs, as well as representatives from veterans and military service organizations and the private sector will attend the event.
Senator Manchin launched the caucus – dubbed the “I Hire Veterans” caucus – on February 7 with his friend Senator Mark Kirk (R-Ill.). Since then, it has grown to include 28 Senators from both parties.
