Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) will kick off a busy day of events focused on economic growth and job creation on Wednesday morning with a “Coffee and Common Sense” event in Fairmont as part of his “Rebuilding America” Week.
Manchin will then attend the ribbon cutting on a new hangar and manufacturing facility at Aurora Flight Sciences in Bridgeport, which currently employs 160 West Virginians.
“West Virginians want their leaders to focus on the things that matter most – and right now, that is job creation. This week I am traveling to more than 20 counties across the state to deliver a very important message to you – it’s time to rebuild America. Washington must put partisanship aside and pass commonsense legislation that spurs job creation, creates economic certainty for our businesses to expand, and restores confidence.”
Throughout “Rebuilding America” Week, Senator Manchin will meet with business and labor leaders, students, manufacturers and residents during events in at least 20 counties. During these events, Senator Manchin will highlight a multi-pronged, commonsense legislative strategy for job creation and economic growth.
Also Wednesday, Senator Manchin will visit the Doddridge and Ritchie County Courthouses. He will deliver the keynote address at the Marion County Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner at 6 p.m.
