WV Strong: New River Community and Technical College

Raleigh County

Today’s Better Angels are the team at New River Community and Technical College in Raleigh County. 

So far, the college has safely reopened its Pearson testing center so students in the region can get provisionally EMS-certified. They’re also donating PPE from their own nursing program's supply, they started providing free and secure tele-counseling services to their students, and they’ve sewn masks for distribution. They're doing their absolute best during this time to ensure students continue to get the education and training they need to provide the services our entire home state needs right now.

I truly appreciate the efforts of Dr. Bonny Copenhaver, Wendy Patriquin, Travis Copenhaver, and everyone involved at New River community and Technical College for their outstanding contributions during this pandemic.
