WV Strong: Step by Step of WV

Nominated as today’s Better Angels is the team at Step By Step West Virginia, a nonprofit that was recently featured on WOWK for their efforts to cook and pack more than 600 meals a day for kids in need during the summer months. They go directly into the communities they serve to make the meals more accessible, and they also utilize a text alert system to let families know when they’re on their way. While Step by Step mostly serves Charleston communities, they’ve also served surrounding areas in Lincoln and Logan County, and will continue until the school year begins.
