WV Strong: WV VOAD volunteers

Today’s Better Angels are the team at WV VOAD (West Virginia Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) for their 4-week partnership project with the Pallottine Foundation of Huntington. Together they’re serving three Huntington social service nonprofits that are distributing meals to those in need during this pandemic. The Huntington City Mission, Cabell County Community Services, and the Tri State Big Brother-Big Sister Organization serve some of our most vulnerable populations.

The distributed meals are being be purchased from three local restaurants — Butter It Up; Oscar’s Breakfast, Burgers, & Brews; and Chick-fil-A.

Working together through partnerships like these are what’s going to get us through this pandemic and I applaud each of these organizations and local businesses for their efforts. Thank you for sharing this story with me.
