Washington, D.C. – United States Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) today announced that his staff will hold eight public meetings across West Virginia next week to help veterans navigate the medical services, benefits and mental health counseling available to them. Representatives from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the West Virginia Division of Veterans Affairs will be on-hand to deliver presentations and take questions from veterans in attendance.
Members of the public are strongly encouraged to attend.
“West Virginia is one of the most patriotic states in the country, and I am committed to making sure that West Virginia’s service members receive the education, housing, medical, and other services they deserve,” Senator Manchin said. “To that end, my office has organized eight open meetings across the state next week to give West Virginia’s military men and women direct access to representatives from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and West Virginia Division of Veterans Affairs. On behalf of the grateful state of West Virginia, I want to thank our active duty service members and our veterans for their patriotism and sacrifice. May God bless you, the state of West Virginia, and the United States of America.”
