Manchin, Capito Announce More Than $1 Million For Oral Health Services
Washington, D.C – U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), members of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced four grants totaling $1,087,000 to support community health centers infrastructure enhancements to provide new or enhance existing high quality, integrated oral health services. Funding is provided by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
“Access to healthcare is essential to the well-being of all West Virginians and by improving our health centers, patients will be able to receive quality, accessible healthcare across our great state. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I will continue to fight for funding for our health centers so that West Virginians can live healthy, safe lives,” Senator Manchin said.
“Funding to support oral health is extremely important and often overlooked,” Senator Capito said. “Healthy gums and teeth are essential to overall physical health, and I’m thrilled to see these West Virginia health centers benefit from this funding.”

- $300,000 – Camden-on-Gauley Medical Center, Inc.
- $300,000 – Bluestone Health Association, Inc.
- $300,000 – Valley Health Systems, Inc.
- $187,000 – Monroe County Health Center
