Manchin Discusses U.S. Service Academies With 21 West Virginia Schools
West Virginia
students interested in applying to a U.S. Service Academy must submit an
application to Senator Manchin’s office by October 1, 2021
Washington,
DC – Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) hosted his second video call with
453 West Virginia students to encourage them
to apply to the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S.
Merchant Marine Academy and the U.S. Air Force Academy and to answer student
questions about the application process. Students interested in applying to
a U.S. Service Academy can submit an application
to Senator Manchin’s office by October 1, 2021.
“Today I had the
privilege to speak with West Virginia students about the opportunities to pursue
an education at one of our country’s incredible Service Academies. The Mountain
State has a long history of selfless and patriotic service, and I am thrilled
so many young West Virginians are interested in serving our nation,” said
Senator Manchin. “Students interested in applying can reach out to my
office with any questions or for help submitting their application by October
1, 2021.”
Last
week, Senator Manchin hosted a video call with 23 West Virginia schools to
discuss the U.S. Service Academies. Senator Manchin recently
hosted a virtual Academy Connections event with representatives of the U.S.
Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Naval
Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy to give students important
insight and information before applying.
Students
interested in applying to a U.S. Service Academy can submit their application
through Senator Manchin’s website,
through email or fax or in person to one of Senator Manchin’s office by October
1, 2021.
