Washington, D.C. — In a YouTube video today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) is encouraging all West Virginians to go online and vote for Lewisburg as America’s Coolest Small Town as part of an annual contest sponsored by Budget Travel magazine.

“Lewisburg is definitely one of America’s best towns, and I am encouraging all West Virginians to show their support for this great community and our state by voting for Lewisburg as America’s Coolest Small Town,” Senator Manchin said. “From its emerald green landscape to unique shopping, dining and entertainment to its rich history dating back more than 250 years, Lewisburg truly has something for all ages to enjoy and showcases the best of the Mountain State.”

Manchin’s message to West Virginians is available here.

Budget Travel’s web site highlights Lewisburg as home to one of only four Carnegie Halls and describes its popular annual Chocolate Festival.

“I’ve enjoyed every visit I’ve had to Lewisburg, and that’s because there’s so much variety. Lewisburg offers an adventurous outdoor escape, with activities like hiking, biking, fishing and cross-country skiing,” Sen. Manchin noted. “We are asking every West Virginian to take pride in West Virginia, take pride in Lewisburg as the only city in West Virginia that is being considered for this tremendous honor. I encourage all of you to vote today for Lewisburg as the coolest small city in America.”
