Manchin Makes Good on Wager with Toomey - Delivers Chico's Pepperoni Rolls

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) made good on the wager he made with Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) over the NCAA Sweet 16 game between the West Virginia University Mountaineers and Villanova University Wildcats. As promised, Senator Manchin delivered Senator Toomey pepperoni rolls from Chico’s Bakery baked in Morgantown, WV and the largest producer of pepperoni rolls in the United States.

“I congratulate Senator Toomey and the Villanova Wildcats on not only their Sweet 16 victory but their NCAA championship. I take some solace in the fact that the hardest fought game of the tournament came at the hands of our Mountaineers. Pepperoni rolls are a unique part of West Virginia’s history and culture so I’m happy to share them with my friend Senator Toomey,” Senator Manchin said.

“I thank my friend from West Virginia, Senator Manchin, for making good on our bet after an understandable mourning period for his Mountaineers,” said Senator Toomey. “Knowing now that the Villanova Wildcats are national champions only makes it all the sweeter.”
